Cookie Policy

This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies (such as your browser’s local storage) rbanext.com uses, why, and how you control them.

1. How we ask for consent

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept all optional categories, reject them, or choose per category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and nothing optional loads before you decide. Strictly necessary storage does not need consent, because it is required for a service you ask for (Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and Article 4(5) of Romanian Law no. 506/2004). Your choice is kept for 6 months; after that, or when we add a new tool, we ask again.

2. Change or withdraw your choice

You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings, also linked at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before. Deleting this site’s data in your browser also removes your choice, and the banner will appear again.

3. Strictly necessary (always active)

rba_consent (first-party cookie, 6 months): stores your choice for each category and the date you made it.
rbanext-language (local storage, until you clear it): remembers the language you last used (the EN/RO switch or the Assessment version you opened).
architecture_maturity_state (local storage, until you reset the assessment): saves your Architecture Maturity Assessment answers so you can resume; they are not sent to us.
rba_admin and rba_oauth_state (first-party cookies, 8 hours and 10 minutes): used only on the administration area, to sign the site owner in. Visitors never receive them.

4. Statistics (only with your consent)

We use Vercel Web Analytics, provided by our hosting provider Vercel, to count page views and two events (a click on a Contact link and a sent contact form, with the page language only). It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Visits are recognised only through a hashed value derived from the request, which is reset every 24 hours; IP addresses are not stored. We see aggregated figures only: page, referring site, country, browser, operating system and device type. The script loads only after you accept the Statistics category.

5. Marketing

We do not use marketing or advertising cookies or scripts. If this changes, the category will appear in the banner and will only be used with your consent.

6. Third parties

When you send the contact form, the message is transmitted to Formspree, which processes it under its own terms; we do not place their cookies. Links to other websites (such as LinkedIn) are governed by those websites’ policies once you follow them.
